Deniers also tend to have an unlimited faith in market forces. So you should tell them that that whoever ends up on the wrong side of this issue, digging coal in a world where solar will soon be cheaper than coal if it isn’t already (thanks to 40 years of enlightened govt tech policy but that’s another story), will be in a similar position to buggy-whip makers in 1900. Market forces, pal. Obviously they get this in France to the point that it is unstated. But just as obviously not elsewhere.
