Farage, who appears in practically every photo as the "braying fool" of saloon-bar cliché, reminds me also of the claim that the original Mk1 fascists weren't taken seriously at first because of Hitler's general oddness and resemblance to Charlie Chaplin (and who was eventually satirised by Chaplin as Adenoid Hynkel), along with the fact that Mussolini resembled another sort of comedian and was forever depicted by cartoonists as a great big unshaven bag of wind. Mosely was a bit more charismatic than either Musso or Hynkel as it happens, but made the error of failing to heed his wife's sensible advice to ditch the silly and, ironically, foreign-looking uniforms. It would now seem that fascism 2.0 has learned that lesson and comes everywhere in a business suit.
