I don’t know how influential that sort of turgid dogma is in keeping the memory of Karl Marx alive these days. It’s really more the substance you capture in your first few paragraphs, non-zombie stuff. As a Russian ‘serious joke’ has it, everything the rulers of the Soviet Union said about Communism was lies, everything they said about capitalism was true.
