I've shared the video already as well. Regardless of what anyone thinks of the present conflict, to have a 98-year-old introduced as someone who fought against the Russians back in the day and therefore a hero we ought to clap, should give pause to anyone who remembers whose side we were on in WWII. So much, then, for the idea that Canadians are smarter about history and geography than Americans. And that's even without having it confirmed later that the old boy was in the SS. Maybe the Speaker thought he was only in the Wehrmacht, 'so that's alright then'.
